Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Specialist II Accounts Payable to join our Global Financial Services Manila team. You will manage end-to-end AP activities, ensure internal control compliance, and support multiple regions including Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States.

You will collaborate across functions to resolve invoices, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end closes while upholding Sarbanes-Oxley policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 3 years of accounts payable experience, including at least 1 year in treasury/payments processing.
• Practical knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of GAAP and Financial Accounting Standards Board regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process payments from selection to uploading into bank or payment tool.
• Process manual payment requests, validate documents, cost centers, and approvals; input payments into bank software.
• Provide cash forecasts for selected payment batches to Treasury.
• Execute approved payment batches by reviewer.
• Review potential duplicate payments and evaluate Payment Proposals/Registers before release.
• Serve as back-up for other sites and assist with audit requirements.
• Meet or exceed productivity targets, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Secure commitments on deliverables from buyers, vendors, site finance heads, and approvers for adjustments.
