Job summary

Excelsior Farms Inc. is seeking a dedicated professional to support poultry production by coordinating with external feed mill partners, ensuring raw materials and finished feeds meet nutritional standards, and communicating adjustments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external feed mill suppliers regarding delivery schedules and feed specifications.
• Ensure that all raw materials and finished feeds meet the farm's nutritional standards
• Communicate with feed mills for feed adjustments if issues arise with formulation or quality
• Regularly inspect incoming raw materials such as corn, soybean meal, best mix and etc.
• Ensure that materials are clean, high-quality, and free of contaminants
• Document inspection results for traceability and quality assurance
• Supervise the feed mixing process to ensure uniformity and accurate nutrient composition
• Ensure adherence to batch formulation and mixing standards
• Monitor equipment cleanliness and maintenance in the feed mill
• Inspect finished feed products before delivery to the farm: Physical quality, absence of contamination or spoilage, provide feedback to the feed mill for process improvements if necessary.
• Evaluate layer performance based on the feeds: Egg production, Feed intake and feed conversion ratio (FCR), Bird health and mortality trends, recommend adjustments in feed formulation or feeding schedules as needed.
• Maintain records of feed inspections, production monitoring, and communications with feed mills.
• Prepare monthly reports for management on fee performance and production outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Coordinate with Feed mill Partners
