Dow in Las Piñas, Philippines, invites applications for an Associate Analytical Technician. The role supports manufacturing by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, maintaining instruments and reporting results to clients.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, with PRC license, 1–3 years of experience, and the ability to work in shifts and with minimal supervision. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
• Valid PRC registration/license as Chemist or Chemical Technician.
• 1-3 years of related working experience.
• Can work on shift.
• Can work alone with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine and non-routine analyses under direction of senior team member until proficiency is demonstrated.
• Prepares lab reagents and standards used for testing.
• Monitors lab chemicals and consumables inventory.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic calibration and preventative maintenance of analytical systems equipment.
• Provides evaluation of validity of data for routine analyses and takes appropriate action.
• Monitors analytical systems equipment and escalates problems as appropriate.
• Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data.
• Reviews and revises lab test procedures as needed.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures and practices for work tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Escalates non-routine requests to appropriate team member for follow-up.
