Position Summary
The Analyst, Operational Excellence is a key contributor to the Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC), supporting the execution of process improvement, automation, and governance initiatives. The role works closely with the Operational Excellence team and cross‑functional partners to drive efficiency, enhance controls, and support high‑quality finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide PMO support to FSSC leaders and other finance teams, ensuring all project deliverables are complete, thorough, and of high quality.
- Assist in the execution of operational excellence initiatives, including process mapping, documentation, and reengineering.
- Support project tracking and reporting activities, ensuring timely updates and alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with FSSC teams to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflow documentation.
- Contribute to the intake and governance process by monitoring project stage‑gates and performance metrics.
- Partner with teams on automations, efficiencies, and reporting.
- Assist in building, testing, and documenting simple tools, scripts, or workflow solutions using AI‑assisted development where applicable.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for local and global projects.
- Foster collaboration across teams to support a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in finance operations, shared services, reporting, data analytics, or process improvement.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Tableau (report viewing, validation, refresh checks, dashboard maintenance).
- Exposure to Snowflake, SQL, or similar data platforms.
- Exposure to AI‑assisted development of simple tools, scripts, reports, and workflow solutions for process improvement.
- Ability to review data sources, validate report completeness, and identify data gaps or inconsistencies.
- Good Excel skills (basic formulas, lookups, pivots, data checks).
- Exposure to ERP systems, finance tools, or reporting platforms is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and organized work approach.
- Good communication skills, with ability to coordinate with stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams.
- Willingness to learn reporting tools, data processes, and basic automation concepts.
- Good problem‑solving skills to address reporting, data, and operational issues.
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, reporting requirements, and team priorities.
