HSBC Global Services Limited in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for Trade Conduct and Finance Control. The role focuses on ensuring data integrity, implementing centralized control systems, and producing risk and valuation reports across asset classes.

The ideal candidate has a finance/ accounting background, strong risk knowledge, and excellent communication skills to liaise with regulatory and internal teams.

Competenze

• Degree/qualification in finance, accounting, business management or quantitative field.
• Strong understanding of financial products, risk management principles and market risk measures.
• Ability to produce, process, analyze and interpret risk reports.

Mansioni

• Ensuring end-to-end integrity of Risk and Valuation Data with enhanced controls.
• Implementing Future state VAULT architecture for centralized control (BCBS 239).
• Publish and analyze daily control reports for asset classes (Equity, FX, Fixed Income).
• Use Agile; raise Jiras, perform UATs for controls.
• Understand instruments and risk measures (PVBP, VaR, MTM, PV).
• Perform data quality checks on inputs from sources like GRDS/HMS/XBH/BBG/Reuters.
• Maintain internal controls and address audit/regulator points in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring the end-to-end integrity of Risk and Valuation Data by executing enhanced controls for the data to be readily consumed by all consumers including Traded risk, Finance, Collateral etc.
• Implementing Future state architectural system (VAULT) for centralized control in the bank in accordance of BCBS 239 principles.
• Publishing and analyzing daily control reports for each asset class (Equity, Foreign Exchange & Fixed Income) for materiality of risk impact
• Using Agile methodology, raising Jiras to IT, performing UATs for all controls implemented.
• Understanding of financial instruments and their key risk and valuation measures such as PVBP (Price value of a basis point), CS01 (credit spread 01), VAR (Value at risk), MTM (mark to market), PV (present value) etc.
• Risk Data quality checks and controls on sources/ inputs – PTS (Primary Trading System), Pricing engine and Vault Data and Reference Data Quality Controls on static data for external and internal golden source such – GRDS (Global Reference Data Service), HMS (Hierarchy Mastering Service), XBH (Xara Book Hierarchy), XDS (XML Data Service), BBG (Bloomberg), Reuters etc.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards and address audit points and/or any issues raised by regulators in a timely manner. Foster a compliance culture within the team, managing compliance risk and ensuring that the necessary training is completed. Optimize relations with regulators.

Job Requirements

• A degree / qualification in finance, accountancy, business management, quantitative course or previous experience in risk management or product control.
• Good understanding of financial products, risk management principles, market risk measures (i.e. PVBP, VaR (Value at risk)) and systems
• High level of competency in the production of information, and the ability to process, analyze and interpret market risk reports
• High proficiency in Excel (VBA skill would be an advantage), Word and Powerpoint. Average proficiency in MS Access.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
