Job summary

Magnum Ice Cream Co. in Mangahan, Philippines, seeks an Operator Technician (SST) to operate and monitor the ammonia refrigeration system across freezers, tunnels and aging rooms.

You will follow SOPs, log data, respond to alarms, perform preventive maintenance and support safety drills. The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on ammonia refrigeration experience and a technical degree; licensed professionals are preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical or bachelor degree in refrigeration, mechanical or electrical fields.
• Licensure required (ME/EE) or Certified Plant Mechanic.
• 2–5 years ammonia refrigeration experience in food manufacturing or cold storage.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and piping layouts.

Responsibilities

• Operate ammonia refrigeration system safely and efficiently per SOP.
• Monitor and log system parameters; adjust operations and respond to alarms.
• Perform preventive and condition-based maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot abnormalities; take corrective actions and emergency responses.
• Support safety drills and adhere to safety procedures (LOTO, permit-to-work).
• Assist with project shutdowns, line upgrades and contractor coordination.
