The Ammonia Refrigeration Engineer is responsible for supervising, analyzing, recommending, and standardizing refrigeration systems, compressed air systems, power systems, steam systems, and preventive maintenance of equipment. The role includes managing the daily plant engineering activities.
- Ensures effective planning and accomplishment of preventive maintenance tasks according to plan.
- Evaluates daily monitoring of technician activities with regard to refrigeration system operation and maintenance.
- Assists in troubleshooting and initiates system upgrades.
- Ensures availability of power, steam, compressed air, water, and fuel.
- Ensures compliance with all internal and external auditing bodies.
- Ensures completion of customer-initiated work orders.
- Initiates and conducts pre-bid and bid evaluations and recommends suppliers/contractors for the project.
- Determines and initiates the purchase of spare parts and monitors spare parts inventory.
Job Qualifications:
- A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering courses.
- Preferably, a licensed Engineer.
- With at least three (3) years of experience in managing ammonia refrigeration systems within a food manufacturing plant, ideally with involvement in similar production lines.
- Must have a proficient background and knowledge of the principles of refrigeration systems as well as experience in energy cost-saving productivity.
- Must possess strong communication skills and people management skills.
- Must be amenable to working on-site and extended hours in Canlubang, Laguna.
