AIA Shared Services is seeking an AML Systems and Compliance Data Analytics lead to own governance, monitoring, and optimization of AML controls across our platforms. You will oversee customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting while driving data quality and audit readiness.

Serve as the primary owner of the AML Systems and Compliance Data Analytics. He/She will be responsible for system governance, performance monitoring, and continuous optimization. The role focuses on leveraging data analytics to enhance AML controls, oversee customer due diligence and transaction monitoring processes, investigate potential financial crime risks, ensure data quality and regulatory compliance, and support model testing, reporting, and audit requirements. He/ She will also be responsible to monitoring and overseeing ABC risks and controls.
Support annual Actimise system reviews and governance assessments.
Prepare documentation for audits, regulatory examinations, model reviews, and governance forums.
Maintain evidence supporting screening controls, KPI monitoring, testing, and tuning activities.
Track incidents, action plans, exceptions, and remediation efforts related to the screening platform.
Participate in regional and Group screening governance forums and working groups
Analyze and monitor CTR reporting
Support business priorities by completion of requested activities within TAT Provide SME technical and analytical advice and support during meetings and discussions with 1st line function, members of senior management, etc.
Conduct periodic assessments of screening data completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and integrity. Perform data reconciliations between source systems and Actimise databases. Analyze ETL processes and identify data mapping or transformation issues impacting screening outcomes. Establish controls to detect missing records, data feed failures, truncation issues, or screening gaps. Monitor reconciliation metrics and elevate material data quality concerns. Partner with IT and data engineering teams to investigate and resolve data issues.
Provide support as AML SME in transforming the operational aspect of AML, Sanctions, & ABC Identify areas for possible transformation activities and coordinate with the Transformation lead within Compliance and other functional units.
Lead in the development of AML Systems, Sanctions, and ABC related training modules using training-needs and risk-bases analyses. Provide trainings related to AML and ABC in accordance with the training plan. Helps maintain and promote a compliance culture across the business.
Serve as the primary Business Unit contact and subject matter expert for Aml Systems and ensuring that the systems are working properly and efficiently Liaison officer between back end support and first line on the AML systems Ensure data integrity and accuracy of AML systems. Serve as the primary Business Unit contact and subject matter expert for Aml Systems and ensuring that the systems are working properly and efficiently Manage day-to-day oversight of Actimise screening processes, configurations, watchlists, and system performance. Coordinate with Group Compliance and Technology teams on system upgrades, enhancements, configuration changes, and production issues. Maintain system governance documentation, configuration records, and change history logs. Support formal change management processes for model parameter adjustments, threshold changes, scoring changes, and screening configuration updates. Review and creation of rules for suspicious transactions, customer due diligence and sanctions screening
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics used to monitor Actimise performance. Analyze large screening datasets to identify trends, anomalies, control weaknesses, and opportunities for optimization. Monitor key performance indicators including: Alert volumes False positive rates True positive rates Screening effectiveness Screening efficiency Data quality metrics Screening coverage metrics Investigate significant deviations in screening volumes, customer screening populations, watchlist volumes, and alert outputs. Produce regular management reporting and analytics packs for Compliance leadership. Perform root cause analysis on unusual screening behavior and recommend remediation actions

Education – Business, Law, Computer Science, Data Science or related courses. Experience – Minimum 3 years of experience in AML, KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, financial crime analytics, or a related compliance function.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience analyzing large datasets and identifying trends, anomalies, and control gaps. Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, data analysis). Working knowledge of SQL and experience querying and validating data. Experience preparing management reporting, dashboards, and KPI metrics. Knowledge of AML, KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), sanctions screening, and suspicious activity monitoring concepts. Experience conducting investigations, risk assessments, or alert reviews. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Data teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and operate in a highly regulated environment.
Certifications/licenses – Desirable – Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist Received data analytics training or has attended data analytics certificate programs ACAMS Special skills - Knowledge of global financial crime compliance with regulation in different countries Links developments in global trade, markets, business practices and the economic environment to required improvements in the financial and risk management of the Company.
