Center For Family Life in Sunset Park Inc seeks AmeriCorps Volunteers to support youth engagement programs and promote leadership development and career readiness at Sunset Park High School. The role involves supervising clubs, co-facilitating, assisting teachers, planning events, field trips, mentoring students, and performing light office tasks.

COMPENSATION RATE: Bi-weekly living allowance of $750.00
EDUCATIONAL AWARD: $2,817.14; received upon completion of the program
WEEKLY HOURS: 18-20 hours
CENTER FOR FAMILY LIFE, a nationally recognized social service program in Sunset Park Brooklyn, is seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Volunteers to support youth engagement programs and promote student leadership development and career readiness. AmeriCorps Volunteers will work collaboratively with staff and will gain experience in working with youth ages 14-21 and learn about the social work group model. Our ideal candidate has knowledge and a demonstrated interest in working with youth and will utilize a strengths-based approach to enrich the lives of youth, families and community.
In addition, volunteers need to possess the following characteristics:
2026-27 School Year [October- June]
Between the hours of 10 AM- 6 PM
Monday through Friday
May require working evenings and weekends
Work schedule to be further discussed with supervisor upon hire; hours are flexible
