Job Role Summary:

An Aircon Technician installs, inspects, services, and repairs air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role requires diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring systems meet safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install new air conditioning systems and components (split-type, window units, centralized systems, VRF/VRV).

• Perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems (cleaning coils, replacing filters, checking refrigerant levels).

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults in AC systems.

• Test and calibrate system performance using gauges and meters.

• Read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and manuals.

• Handle refrigerants safely and comply with environmental regulations.

• Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and part replacements.

• Provide cost and time estimates for repairs or installations.

• Communicate effectively with clients regarding service and repair needs.

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
