Job summary

FirstWork is seeking a Product Manager to own a core product surface and the AI capabilities within it. You will build and ship AI-powered features using LLMs and agent-based workflows, defining where agents act autonomously and how handoffs occur, while tracking success metrics and unit economics.

You will collaborate closely with engineering and design to ship in short cycles against live volume, and translate customer workflows into concrete product requirements with clear, precise specs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, workflow, operations or platform products.
• Ownership of a complex platform or workflow product (multi-tenant, rules/policy engine, automation or integration platform).
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features to production (prompt design, structured output, tool calling, fallback).
• Strong technical depth across data models, state machines, decision trees and API/webhook behavior.
• Ability to work directly with engineers on design.
• Comfort pulling and interrogating data.
• Clear written communication with precise specs to build from.
• Customer-facing confidence in discovery and escalation.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, roadmap and outcomes for a core product surface.
• Build and ship AI-powered features using LLMs and agent-based workflows.
• Improve features, accuracy and performance of existing capabilities.
• Define autonomous agent behavior, human handoffs, and audit trails.
• Specify decision logic including trees, thresholds, and reason codes.
• Define evaluation criteria for AI features, datasets and release readiness.
• Decide shared platform capabilities vs customer configuration.
• Design configuration as settings, rules and policy objects, not code.
• Own funnel, adoption and quality metrics and their instrumentation.
• Track unit economics including model cost and latency.
• Run customer discovery and translate workflows into requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and design to ship in short cycles.
