Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Specialist General Accounting to support the General Accounting tower, performing day-to-day accounting activities and assisting in month-, quarter-, and year-end closes. The role emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and alignment with accounting standards while supporting automation initiatives and AI-assisted processes.

The ideal candidate is a fresh graduate or has up to 1 year of accounting experience, with a Bachelor’s in Accountancy and an understanding of ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy required; CPA license preferred but not required.
• Fresh graduate or 1 year of relevant accounting experience; General Accounting/Record to Insight exposure preferred.
• Experience with ERP/financial accounting systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, and post journal entries for assigned accounting areas.
• Review source data and supporting docs to determine proper accounting treatment and period recognition.
• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in the correct accounting period.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities and deliverables.
• Analyze transactions and coordinate with teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, controls, and applicable standards.
• Maintain documentation supporting journal entries and activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely recording of transactions.
• Assist in audits and provide supporting information.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Support automation initiatives and system enhancements affecting General Accounting.
• Participate in continuous improvement and adoption of new tools.
