Job summary

Scale Up Philippines is seeking an AI Integration Developer to lead a remote, project-based integration between a Cloudbeds PMS and Claude (Anthropic) AI assistant for a London-based serviced apartment company.

You will design secure MCP or Claude API integration, implement Cloudbeds authentication, and build tools to query reservations, occupancy, and guest data across all properties, with UK business hours overlap.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building integrations with REST APIs, OAuth 2.0 authentication, and webhooks (required).
• Hands-on experience with the Claude API or other large language model APIs, including tool use/function calling (required).
• Experience building MCP servers is a strong advantage.
• Experience with Cloudbeds or other hospitality systems (PMS, channel managers, booking engines) is highly preferred.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting and deployment (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Cloudflare, or similar).
• Solid understanding of data privacy and secure handling of personal information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
• Available for regular overlap with UK business hours for meetings and updates.

Responsibilities

• Integration Architecture: Assess the client’s workflows and design a secure, scalable approach for connecting Cloudbeds to Claude, such as a custom MCP server or a Claude API integration using tool use.
• Cloudbeds API Development: Authenticate with and work through the Cloudbeds API (OAuth 2.0, REST endpoints, webhooks) to retrieve and, where approved, update reservations, availability, rates, guest records, and housekeeping data.
• Claude Configuration: Build and test the tools, prompts, and permissions that let Claude answer operational questions accurately.
• Multi-Property Support: Ensure the integration handles several properties cleanly and can be extended easily as new locations open.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Set up automated summaries or dashboards for occupancy, revenue, and guest activity.
• Data Security & Compliance: Protect guest data with proper access controls, secure credential storage, and logging, in line with UK GDPR requirements.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Test thoroughly against real-world scenarios to confirm data accuracy before handover.
• Documentation & Handover: Provide clear technical documentation and a non-technical user guide, and train the team.
• Post-Launch Support: Troubleshoot issues, monitor API changes, and recommend improvements after go-live.

Scale Up Philippines is partnering with a growing London-based serviced apartment company to hire an AI Integration Developer. The company operates multiple fully serviced properties across Central London, welcoming tourists, students, and corporate guests, and is preparing for new property openings in 2027.

You’ll lead a focused integration project connecting the company’s Cloudbeds property management system (PMS) to Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant. The goal is to let the team securely query reservations, occupancy, guest information, and operational data through Claude, reducing manual work and giving management faster insight across all properties. This is a project-based engagement, with potential for ongoing support and future AI projects as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integration Architecture: Assess the client’s workflows and design a secure, scalable approach for connecting Cloudbeds to Claude, such as a custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) server or a Claude API integration using tool use.
• Cloudbeds API Development: Authenticate with and work through the Cloudbeds API (OAuth 2.0, REST endpoints, webhooks) to retrieve and, where approved, update reservations, availability, rates, guest records, and housekeeping data.
• Claude Configuration: Build and test the tools, prompts, and permissions that let Claude answer operational questions accurately, such as “What are tonight’s arrivals across all properties?” or “Which units are vacant next week?”
• Multi-Property Support: Ensure the integration handles several properties cleanly and can be extended easily as new locations open.
