Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive cloud-native development and AI integration. You will guide a cross-functional team across frontend, backend, data, and AI workstreams, shape API contracts, and orchestrate LLM-driven workflows.

You will own the data layer, design scalable serverless architectures on Azure, and lead code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and mentorship to junior developers, while communicating progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud-native or serverless apps on Azure.
• Experience leading engineers and mentoring juniors.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry / Azure AI Services.
• Strong full-stack capability across frontend and backend.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead developer on hands-on development and guide cross-functional teams.
• Make design decisions on integration patterns, API contracts, and AI model orchestration.
• Lead integration of Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI Services with LLM orchestration and RAG pipelines.
• Design and implement serverless architecture using Azure Functions and API Management.
• Own the data layer — schema design, query optimization, and DB performance.
• Oversee full-stack development across React, Python, FastAPI, and REST APIs.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Lead, mentor, and upskill junior developers.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact for stakeholders.
