Job summary

WeSupport Incorporated in Manila is seeking an experienced DevOps/Software Engineer to help build and scale AI-enabled development tools on AWS. You will own features end-to-end within an empowered, cross-functional team, leveraging AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge and CDK in TypeScript, and shaping CI/CD pipelines and containerised workloads.

The role emphasizes observability, SRE practices, and security, with on-call readiness and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Own laptop/desktop in excellent condition and a high-quality broadband connection.
• Availability for afternoon shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM PH time).
• Deep knowledge of AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS, AppSync with VPC/subnets/IAM/Route 53.
• Extensive experience with AWS CDK IaC, including environment parameterisation and drift detection.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and containerised workloads (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda containers).
• Practical experience with CloudWatch metrics/logs/traces, alerting, on-call, and runbooks.
• Experience with AI-native development and automated PR review for compliance and code quality.
• Bonus: TV/Media experience (MediaConvert, MediaLive) and agentic tooling.

Responsibilities

• Feature Development: work with a cross-functional team to deliver new features using agile methods.
• AI Tooling & Agentic Workflow: lead practical AI tool integration across the development lifecycle.
• Infrastructure: work with AWS infrastructure defined in CDK (TypeScript) and evolve it as needed.
• Observability: define and configure the observability stack with CloudWatch metrics, logs, and traces.
• Site Reliability Engineering: drive SRE practices, runbooks, incident reviews, and automation.
• CI/CD & Release Engineering: improve pipelines with automated deployment and release gates.
• Security & Networking: oversee IAM, Cognito, Secrets Manager, VPC, and Route 53 design.
