Job summary

Union Motor Corporation in the Philippines seeks a Service Technician to perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on customer vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies.

The role requires a TESDA NC1/NC2 or automotive technology diploma, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety, 5S/6S workspace organization, and continuous training to stay updated with new vehicle technologies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Automotive Technology or TESDA NC1/NC2 relative to the Job Function.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to participate in manufacturer-mandated and in-house training programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks based on the assigned Job Order (JO) / Repair Order (RO).
• Strictly follow SPH Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Ensure all repair work meets roadworthiness, safety, and performance standards before vehicle release.
• Conduct test drives when necessary to verify repairs and overall vehicle performance.
• Always wear mandatory PPE such as gloves, aprons, fender covers, and safety goggles.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S/6S principles.
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of personal and dealership tools.
• Return all requested special tools after use and conduct regular inventory of basic tools.
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, Leadmen, and Supervisors regarding repair progress or additional work needed.
• Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in a clean and presentable condition after servicing.
