Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a senior Quality Engineering leader to guide a team of Automotive Quality Engineers in delivering world-class quality for next‑generation products. You will drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA and audit readiness while aligning with customer expectations across NPD projects.

You will coach and develop the team, manage capacity, and elevate quality through continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading quality engineers in automotive
• Strong knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PPAP and audits
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and VDA 6.3

YOUR MAIN TASKS:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Automotive Quality Engineers (AQEs), providing direction through a clear strategic roadmap.
• Set, monitor, and achieve team and individual KPIs while ensuring alignment with business and customer expectations.
• Manage team capacity, resource allocation, and prioritization of quality activities across New Product Development (NPD) projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to APQP, VDA RGA, quality procedures, product development processes, and digitalization.
• Act as the first escalation point for quality-related issues, facilitating effective escalation and de-escalation processes internally and externally.
• Plan, organize, and deliver training programs to strengthen technical expertise and quality awareness across the team.
• Support critical NPD projects as a Quality Core Team Member, overseeing APQP deliverables, PPAP readiness, FMEA activities, capability studies, control plans, and audit preparation.

YOUR IDEAL BACKGROUND:

• Initial leadership experience with the ability to coach teams, think strategically, and drive performance.
• Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of AIAG APQP, VDA RGA, PPAP/PPA, and customer-specific requirements management.
• Experience with quality methodologies such as FMEA, 8D problem-solving, MSA, and statistical capability studies.
• Familiarity with quality tools and systems such as APIS IQ-RM Pro and QDAS Solara/qs-STAT.
• Understanding of quality management standards and audit requirements, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and VDA 6.3.
• Fluency in English language
