Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.
• At least 5 years actuarial experience in health, life, or general insurance; 3+ years leadership.

Position Accountability Statement

The position is accountable for ensuring actuarially sound, competitive, and financially sustainable pricing recommendations and quotations aligned with the company’s profitability objectives and risk appetite; delivering accurate and timely pricing services; maintaining effective pricing governance and compliance; driving process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency; leading and developing a high-performing pricing team; and providing strategic pricing expertise and decision support to management and business stakeholders to support sustainable business growth and profitability.

Job Description

Pricing Governance and Technical Oversight

• Develops, reviews, and implements pricing policies, guidelines, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversees the development, maintenance, and improvement of pricing models, tools, and assumptions.
• Ensures compliance with approved pricing methodologies, authorization limits, and documentation requirements.
• Reviews and endorses pricing-related memoranda, recommendations, and exceptions.

Business Support and Stakeholder Management

• Provides pricing expertise and recommendations to Sales, SMT, ELT, and other stakeholders on pricing and product-related matters.
• Supports client negotiations and presents pricing analyses and recommendations to SMT.
• Coordinates with relevant departments on pricing initiatives, business requirements, and strategic decisions.

Operational Excellence and Process Improvement

• Leads process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve pricing accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time.
• Establishes and monitors productivity measures, service standards, and operational performance.
• Ensures pricing procedures, workflows, and departmental documentation are maintained and updated.

Department Management and People Leadership

• Establishes and monitors team targets and deliverables.
• Leads, coaches, and develops team members through performance management, training, and capability-building initiatives.
• Ensures effective resource allocation and timely submission of departmental reports and management updates.
• Assumes delegated responsibilities of the next higher approving authority when authorized.

Compliance And Corporate Responsibilities

• Supports internal and external audits and ensures timely resolution of audit findings.
• Ensures adherence to corporate policies, the Code of Conduct, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Supports the company's strategic objectives, quality standards, and corporate values.
• Performs other related duties and special assignments as directed by management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

• Graduate of a 4- or 5-year college degree, preferably in Mathematics , Applied Mathematics , or Statistics .

Experience And Training

• At least 5 years of actuarial experience in health, life, or general insurance.
• With at least 3 years of proven leadership experience in managing teams or leading strategic initiatives.
