We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuarial Senior Analyst / Actuarial Assistant Manager to join our Actuarial Function. This role offers the opportunity to apply actuarial expertise and business acumen to support strategic decision-making, financial planning, risk management, and business performance.
As a key link between junior team members and management, you will collaborate with experienced actuaries and cross-functional stakeholders while contributing to high-impact actuarial initiatives and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with actuaries and business stakeholders to support strategic data analysis, risk assessment, financial planning, and business decision-making.
- Provide actuarial support across key areas, including:
- Asset Modeling
- Valuation
- Support and guide junior actuarial team members, as applicable, ensuring quality and timely delivery of outputs.
- Develop and analyze financial projections to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to pricing strategies and risk management solutions through robust actuarial analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex data and analysis into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve actuarial processes, analytical approaches, and business outcomes.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies relevant to actuarial practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of actuarial experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Progress toward an actuarial designation through a recognized actuarial organization, such as SOA or ASP.
- Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, VBA, and Access; knowledge of GGY AXIS, SQL, QlikView, Python, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, synthesize, organize, and communicate complex information.
- Demonstrated ability to develop clear results, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
