Manulife/John Hancock is seeking an Actuarial Specialist to join the Actuarial Audit team within the Actuarial Function. You will support execution of actuarial audit engagements, assess risks and controls, perform testing, and help deliver insights to strengthen governance across actuarial areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field.
• At least 3 years actuarial work experience in insurance or financial services.
• Progress toward a designation such as SOA or ASP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute actuarial audit engagements, including assurance reviews and SOX testing.
• Assess risks and internal controls across actuarial business units; identify issues and gaps.
• Perform audit testing, document results, and support conclusions on control effectiveness.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
