Job summary

AIA in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Actuary to join our modelling team, supporting EV/VoNB projections, IFRS17/HKOCI valuations, and Promise Pricing in line with regulatory and company guidelines.

You will maintain accurate actuarial models for ANP, VoNB, EV, and related reports, coordinate with local teams and ASSC on year-end updates, and contribute to audit-ready change management documents and product installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in math/statistics with good scholastic records.
• 3–5 years work experience in actuarial valuation, studies or product development.
• Completed at least three preliminary Actuarial exams.
• Knowledge in Prophet actuarial software is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• SQL or programming language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains accurate actuarial models for ANP, VoNB, EV, IFRS17, EBS and related reports.
• Manage model enhancements and testing with users to ensure integrity.
• Manage installation of new product assumptions in Promise database and coordinate with ASSC for year-end updates.
• Prepare change-management documents for internal and external audits for models and installations.
• Coordinate model integration with Group CMT and local teams for validation and consistency across bases.
• Perform other duties periodically to meet operational requirements.

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing support to Modelling Actuary in preparing and maintaining accurate actuarial models to perform EV/VONB projections, valuation under IFRS17/HKOCI and Promise Pricing according to business needs, regulatory and company guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains accurate actuarial models to be used for regular ANP, VoNB, EV, IFRS17, EBS and all other related reports within the AIA and local management mandated schedules


• Manage the set-up for the model enhancements of existing products for purposes of streamlining and model integrity checking coordinating with users directly in conducting the testing/validation


• Manage installation of new products and assumptions in Promise database as well as actively coordinate with ASSC for the year-end assumption update exercise.


• Manage the preparation of the change management documents required for internal and external audit for model maintenance and new product installations as needed with close coordination with other stakeholders to ensure timely submission


• Prepares and/or reviews model integration work cascaded by Group CMT while coordinating with local teams to ensure validation and consistency accross the different bases are maintained


• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• College graduate with at least Bachelor's degree related in math/statistics with good scholastic records.


• At least 3-5 years work experience in actuarial valuation, studies or product development.


• Preferably have completed at least three preliminary Actuarial exams


• Knowledge in any actuarial software such as Prophet is preferred


• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications


• SQL or programming language is a plus
