About the role
Furukawa Automotive Systems Lima Philippines, Inc., a leading automotive parts manufacturer, is seeking a talented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Lipa City, Batangas. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial accounting and reporting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information to support the company's strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, including month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function
• Provide training and guidance to junior members of the accounting team
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Optional: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar supervisory role in the financial accounting and reporting industry
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and financial reporting tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance
• Experience in the automotive industry or manufacturing sector is preferred
