• Preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements etc.
• Recording business transactions in a ledger using bookkeeping methods such as the cash method or the accrual method
• Preparing journal entries for transactions that occur between departments within an organization’s accounting system
• Preparing financial reports for external entities such as investors, creditors, or government agencies
• Preparing tax forms, such as income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and other filings required by government laws
• Analyzing financial statements and other data to identify trends or issues that may require further investigation
• Creating reports based on findings from audits or internal reviews to help management make informed decisions about operations or processes
• Reviewing financial information to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Preparing financial reports that are used as benchmarks for measuring the performance of an organization’s assets, liabilities, equity, or cash flow over time
• Preparing tax returns for individuals or businesses including payroll tax returns, corporate tax returns, and personal tax returns such as those including self-employed individuals
• Performing audits on financial statements to ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
