Main Duties and Responsibilities
Business Process
• Holding the accountant role within our credit card Holding the accountant role within our credit card and expense system and supporting team with reviewing submitted expenses for compliance with category reporting and VAT compliance.
Cash Reporting
• Posting daily/weekly bank entries to the ERP system – Netsuite
• Updating and managing the cashbooks
• Completing monthly bank reconciliations
• Supporting Treasury team with queries and follow up
Month End
• Completing prepayments and accruals for shared services SS month end reports for Department heads.
• Assisting with preparation of month end reports for Department Heads
Business Reporting
• Updating and rolling forward Excel templates used in reporting to provide the business finance teams with the tools needed for group reporting
• Providing cover for the updating stock costing date in Netsuite and managing shared inbox.
External reporting
• Preparing reports and schedules for the external auditors for review by the Group Reporting Manager, (where a peak of work is seen from Jan-May);
• Pulling together data for review to support bank field exams for review by the Group Reporting Manager (6 monthly audits by our financing partner).
Other
Reconciliation & review of Balance sheet accounts;
Intercompany reconciliation, highlighting follows up items or mismatches
Numerate and analytical with a good attention to detail
Able to explain financial results in a logical and structured way
Effective written and verbal communication
Experience working with data and particularly reconciliations
Competent with Excel and able to use functions to support analysis and presentation
Finance or bookkeeping experience
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant field
Have at least 2 years experience in accounting or similar role
Great knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
Working knowledge on MS365, NetSuite, Payhawk
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritize
Very keen attention to detail and high levels of initiative
Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills
Can start ASAP and amenable to required schedules
Amenable to report onsite in either Ortigas, Pasig City / Cubao, Quezon City
