Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Global Accounting Team and lead a high-performing group responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

You will combine technical accounting expertise, people leadership, and process improvement to strengthen our global financial operations, working with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and Operations.

Qualifications

• CPA with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy required.
• 8+ years of accounting and/or audit experience.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.

We're looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Global Accounting Team and lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

In this role, you'll combine technical accounting expertise, people leadership, stakeholder management, and process improvement to strengthen our global financial operations. You'll work closely with teams across Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Operations while helping drive scalable and efficient accounting processes across the organization.

What You'll Do

Lead Financial Close and Reporting

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data.
• Identify accounting issues, unusual transactions, and reporting risks, and drive timely resolution.
• Support management with meaningful financial analysis and insights.

Lead and Develop Your Team

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Set clear priorities, manage workloads, and ensure the team consistently meets deadlines and quality standards.
• Provide regular feedback, performance coaching, and development opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement-focused team culture.
• Support succession planning and the development of future accounting leaders.

Strengthen Controls, Compliance, and Audit Readiness

• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, company policies, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to support accurate and reliable financial reporting.
• Partner with internal and external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
• Review and resolve accounting and control issues while identifying opportunities to mitigate financial and operational risks.

Drive Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, and operational controls.
• Lead initiatives focused on standardization, automation, efficiency, and scalability.
• Support accounting transformation, system enhancements, and other finance improvement initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement practical and sustainable solutions.

Partner with Global Stakeholders

• Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Operations.
• Provide accounting guidance and support for business initiatives and strategic projects.
• Build strong relationships with global teams and effectively communicate complex accounting matters to different audiences.
• Support a global operating environment by partnering across functions, markets, and time zones.

What You'll Bring

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or audit.
• At least 4 years of experience in a supervisory or people leadership role.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and applicable accounting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results within strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound professional judgment.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willing to work onsite in Vertis North, Quezon City and on a shifting or rotational schedule.
