Job summary

MGM Motor Trading Inc. is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead accounting operations in Pasig. You will manage daily activities, supervise staff, ensure GAAP compliance, review documents, prepare journal entries, and deliver timely financial reports.

Collaborate with Sales to ensure proper documentation and robust internal controls. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Accountancy, CPA, MBA, and at least 5 years in supervisory/managerial roles, with proven management training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with either: 3 years in a supervisory capacity, or 2 years in a managerial capacity
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the department and ensure turnaround times are met.
  • Supervise and review the work of staff, including performance evaluations and adherence to internal controls.
  • Conduct regular meetings to address operational issues, recommend corrective actions, and discuss process improvements.
  • Review and approve documents or transactions within authorized limits.
  • Prepare memos, communications, and documentation as needed.
  • Ensure all staff comply with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards (GAAP).
  • Coordinate with the Sales Manager to ensure sales transactions are properly recorded and supported by complete documents.
  • Monitor assistants and ensure accuracy and completeness of sales records.
  • Ensure all receivables are collected, accounted for, and deposited daily into the company’s account.
  • Monitor and reconcile actual collections with pre-numbered documents to ensure integrity and completeness.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop simplified, accurate reporting procedures.
  • Check and review summary reports of sales, disbursements, collections, and inventory.
  • Prepare necessary journal entries and accounting schedules for assigned accounts.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all accounting balances for timely financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports and operational results.
  • Ensure all government-mandated remittances and reportorial requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, BIR, etc.) are submitted accurately and on or before due dates to avoid open cases.

  3. Eligibility: Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)

  4. Specialized Training: Management Training Skills
