A leading medical distributor in Quezon City seeks an Accounting/Finance Supervisor. The ideal candidate will manage accounting functions, assist with audits, and ensure compliance with GAAP. About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting/Finance Supervisor to join a leading medical distributor in Quezon City. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with solid accounting expertise and strong leadership capabilities to contribute to the company’s financial management and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Direct reporting to the vice president of finance
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes, and cost accounting.
Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a timely basis
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports and other accounting documents
Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and analysis
Ensure all accounting records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Knowledgeable on Financial Statements, Taxation, BIR.
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
Thorough knowledge of Philippine GAAP
Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
Good written and verbal communication skills
