Job Description

The Accounting Director leads and manages the overall accounting operations of the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing financial strategies to support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems and financial policies.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
• Manage and mentor accounting managers and finance staff.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor company budgets, financial forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
• Drive process improvements and financial system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, with senior management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing large accounting teams and multi-department financial operations.
