About the job Accounting Associate (US GAAP Required)

Location: BGC, Taguig

Work setup: Full onsite

Schedule: Night shift | Monday to Friday

Role Overview

This position is responsible for supporting the accounting function through the preparation of journal entries, financial statements, reconciliations, and detailed analyses of income and expense accounts, while ensuring compliances with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the month-end close and reporting process.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations
  • Must have background in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and preferably with Sage Intacct.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compile financial statements, composite reports, and income/expense account analyses from various internal and external sources as needed by management or regulatory bodies
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues to the Accounting Manager for resolution
  • Record and review journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting, including payroll accruals, rent schedules, tax adjustments, and revenue entries
  • Support the fixed asset management process by preparing and analyzing relevant transactional data
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure alignment and proper documentation with affiliated entities
  • Assist with the preparation and review of month-end and quarter-end consolidation files and supporting schedules for review by the Accounting Manager
  • Prepare audit and tax-related documentation for internal and external auditors
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to verify proper invoice coding and ensure timely recording of accruals
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as directed by the Accounting Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the finance department and business operations
