Lion Digital Commerce is seeking an Accounting Associate to support the finance team with recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and handling payables/receivables.
Responsibilities include payroll processing assistance, tax filing support, and preparation of financial statements, reports, and audits.
The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment in Cavite, Philippines.
The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the finance team by performing various accounting tasks, such as recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with payroll and tax filings.
Record daily financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments in the accounting system.
Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
With experience in bank reconciliation and preparation of Income Statements.
Assist in processing invoices, managing payment schedules, and handling collections for outstanding accounts.
Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate recording of hours worked, overtime, and deductions.
Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring timely submission of required documents,
Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by gathering and organizing necessary documents and supporting materials.
Maintain organized financial records, filing systems, and supporting documents for easy access during audits and reporting.
Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing issues, discrepancies, and financial inquiries.
Provide support to senior accountants and other team members in various accounting functions as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or any related course
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
Proficient in MS Excel / Google Sheets; experience in basic reports and data analysis is an advantage
Familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar software is an advantage
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in handling financial data
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
