We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Deputy Head of Accounting and Finance at the Senior Manager level to lead the financial management of our diverse portfolio of real estate companies. This role is critical in ensuring strong financial governance, effective consolidation, and insightful reporting across multiple legal entities. Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the accounting and finance function across multiple entities within the group, including residential, commercial, and property management operations.
• Manage consolidated financial statements, intercompany transactions, and group reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
• Oversee financial closing processes (monthly, quarterly, yearly) across all entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and group policies.
• Ensure adherence to tax regulations, including VAT on real estate transactions, capital gains, and property-related levies.
• Provide strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting support to business units and executive leadership.
• Drive financial due diligence and modeling for land acquisitions, project developments, and joint ventures. • Implement and monitor strong internal controls and risk management frameworks across all entities.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.
• Lead the digitalization of finance processes, including ERP enhancements and reporting automation.
• Build and mentor a team of accounting professionals across multiple business units and subsidiaries. ⸻
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership role
• Strong expertise in real estate industry accounting, including project costing, revenue recognition (percentage of completion, completed contract), and asset capitalization
• Proven experience in managing a multi-company or multi-entity group structure
• Deep understanding of tax laws, real estate transactions, and compliance frameworks
• Proficient in consolidation and financial reporting tools; ERP experience (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or industry-specific platforms)
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA)
• Experience with real estate fund structures, REITs, or joint ventures
• Familiarity with land acquisition processes, escrow, and trust account reporting
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
