MacroAsia Corporation is seeking an Accounting Analyst to monitor daily cash management, prepare financial entries, and document transactions. The role supports the Finance and Accounting Department, ensuring accuracy and internal controls across subsidiaries.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 2+ years in Finance/Cost Accounting, and strong knowledge of IAS/PAS and IFRS/PFRS, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• At least 2 years of working experience in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent
• Familiar with IAS/PAS and IFRS/PFRS standards
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiar with government reportorial requirements (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, SEC, PSE)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

About the role

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for monitoring and maintaining day-to-day cash management and treasury duties, preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries, and documenting financial transactions. The role involves analyzing accounting options, preparing financial reports, maintaining accounting controls, and reconciling financial discrepancies. The Accounting Analyst will guide accounting assistants and provide assistance to different areas within the Finance and Accounting Department of MacroAsia Corporation and its subsidiaries as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains day-to-day cash management and treasury duties
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls
• Guides accounting assistant by coordinating activities and answering questions

About you

• Must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Preferably Certified Public Accountant
• At least 2 years of working experience specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent
• Abreast of the latest International/Philippine Accounting Standards (IAS/PAS) and International/Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/PFRS)
• Strong attention to details, results oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent analytical skills
• Familiar with government reportorial requirements and able to handle accounting procedures in adherence with governmental laws (BIR, SSS, Philhealth, Pag-Ibig, SEC and PSE)
• Strong computer skills in Windows Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
