Job summary

You will oversee audits, year-end closing, and internal controls while supervising accounting staff and ensuring regulatory compliance. Training at Makati may be required; strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy or relevant degree.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• Relevant training and/or certifications as an Accountant.
• 2 to 4 years of related work experience.
• Familiar with regulatory guidelines and procedures of government agencies.
• Strong computer literacy with accounting database familiarity (i.e. SAP).
• Knowledge in taxation is a must.
• Good analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements, bank reconciliations, cash position, and budget-vs-actual reports.
• Audit Oversight: Lead annual audit preparations, design audit schedules, serve as the primary contact for auditors, and implement recommended internal controls.
• Year-End Closing: Process adjusting and closing entries to finalize books at fiscal year-end.
• Record Keeping: Ensure all accounting records, books, and tracking reports are accurate and safely secured.
• Process business licenses, taxes, and mandatory government reports to ensure on-time regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Formulate, document, and enforce departmental accounting policies while staying updated on relevant financial legislation.
• Provide financial insights and data to support strategic planning and corporate goals.
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.
• Report status updates regularly to the Management Committee and attend management meetings.
• Promote ethical standards, workplace safety, and company mission and values.
• Serve on assigned committees and assist with institutional events.
• Handle additional tasks assigned by leadership.
