First Oceanic Property Management, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join the finance team in Cebu City.

This full-time role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting financial reporting to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities include GAAP posting, general ledger maintenance, monthly/quarterly/annual statements, A/P and A/R processing, bank reconciliations, audits, tax preparation, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• 2–3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of property management accounting practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record and post financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and identify variances.
• Support the audit process by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
• Assist with tax preparation and filing requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information as needed.
