Accountant

Location: Makati City, Philippines

Overview

LinXon is a new company focused on substation solutions, blending AtkinsRéalis project‑management expertise with Hitachi Energy’s technological depth. We’re looking for a skilled accountant to join our evolving team.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and address project site and facility‑office accounting concerns.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Submit client invoices in a timely manner with all required supporting documentation.
  • Manage petty‑cash funds and ensure proper recording of cash receipts with authorized approval.
  • Reconcile outstanding receivables on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor monthly tax compliance.
  • Assist in preparing monthly reporting and audit requirements.
  • Record and maintain schedules for prepayments, accruals, provisions, rent and other expenses, making necessary adjusting entries.
  • Prepare analysis and reports as requested by management on project costs.
  • Prepare related‑party invoices and reconcile their balances.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for all accounts and corporate credit cards.
  • Process supplier payments on time with clear reconciliation statements.
  • Review and record accounts receivable and payable transactions.
  • Maintain assigned digital and physical financial records.
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by the Business Controller.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent). Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • At least three years of experience as a project accountant, preferably in construction or engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Extensive experience in financial statement preparation, data consolidation, and analysis of GL accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration and client service.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Competencies & Skills
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • In‑depth knowledge of accounting best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or ACCPAC.
  • Detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
  • Effective communicator, delivering directions from top‑down to the organization.
  • Willingness to deliver ad‑hoc tasks as required.
