Job summary

A leading audit and compliance firm in Laguna, Philippines, is seeking an experienced Operational Manager to lead engagements, supervise associates, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, a CPA, and substantial experience in audit and compliance. This full-time position offers a salary of Php65,000 – Php70,000/month, performance incentives, and benefits including HMO and retirement plans.

Job description
1. Operational Management
  • Lead audit, assurance, and tax compliance engagements in line with IFRS, PFRS, PSA, and PH tax regulations
  • Plan and execute engagement scopes, risk assessments, and compliance strategies
  • Monitor progress using tracking tools; ensure deadlines and budgets are met
  • Review working papers, FS, tax filings, and compliance reports before submission
  • Recommend operational improvements to Service Line Partner
2. Team Leadership
  • Supervise and coach Senior and Junior Associates
  • Conduct performance reviews and lead development planning
  • Ensure the team meets technical and leadership benchmarks
  • Organize technical training and mentorship programs
  • Promote a positive work culture and succession planning
3. Client Engagement
  • Act as the main operational contact for clients
  • Lead kick-off meetings, updates, and post-engagement reviews
  • Address client concerns promptly and escalate major issues as needed
  • Maintain complete and compliant engagement documentation
  • Support client retention through service excellence
4. Engagement Profitability
  • Manage resources to stay within engagement budgets
  • Leverage tools and systems to increase efficiency
  • Track utilization, revenue, and billable hours
  • Submit engagement performance reports to the Service Line Partner
5. Quality & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with firm and regulatory standards
  • Conduct internal quality reviews and implement process improvements
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments
  • Apply proactive risk mitigation strategies
6. Executive Collaboration
  • Share operational updates and reports with leadership
  • Contribute to methodology improvements and strategic initiatives
  • Support firm-wide policy implementation within the Compliance and Assurance Group

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Supplemental Pay: 13th month salary
