Job summary

Twoconnect is seeking a skilled 3D Draftsperson in the Philippines to prepare accurate 3D models and detailed workshop drawings for sheet-metal fabrication. You will use SolidWorks to create or rework drawings from client designs, ensuring accuracy and producibility.

This hands-on drafting role requires strong attention to detail, speed, and understanding of fabrication requirements. You will collaborate with production teams and customers to meet due dates and ensure high-quality drawings.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and speed with an understanding of basic fabrication requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer-aided drafting and the ability to interpret technical drawings, dimensions and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D models of parts and components using SolidWorks.
• Prepare detailed workshop and fabrication drawings for production purposes.
• Create drawings from client designs, specifications, sketches and existing documentation.
• Rework and update client drawings to suit manufacturing requirements.
• Ensure drawings include accurate dimensions, materials, tolerances, hole locations, cut-outs, folds and other information for production.
• Review drawings and supporting information for accuracy before release to production.
• Maintain drawing revision control and ensure current versions are identified.
• Prepare production-ready drawings and supporting files.
• Liaise with customers to clarify part and drawing requirements.
• Provide drafting support to estimating and production teams.
• Identify improvements to client drawings to improve manufacturing processes.

The 3D Draftsperson will prepare accurate 3D models and detailed workshop drawings for the manufacture and fabrication of sheet-metal components. The role will use SolidWorks to create or rework drawings from client designs and specifications, ensuring information is accurate, practical and ready for production. This is a hands‑on manufacturing drafting role requiring strong attention to detail, speed and an understanding of basic fabrication requirements.

• Create accurate 3D models of parts and components using SolidWorks.

• Prepare detailed workshop and fabrication drawings for production purposes.
• Create drawings from client designs, specifications, sketches and existing documentation.
• Rework and update client drawings where required to suit manufacturing requirements.
• Ensure drawings include accurate dimensions, materials, tolerances, hole locations, cut‑outs, folds and other information required for production.
• Review drawings and supporting information for accuracy and completeness before release to production.
• Maintain appropriate drawing revision control and ensure current drawing versions are clearly identified.
• Prepare production‑ready drawings and supporting files as required.
• Liaise with customers to clarify part and drawing requirements where required.
• Provide technical drafting support to estimating and production teams.
• Identify practical improvements to client drawings that may improve manufacturing processes or production outcomes.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant sheet‑metal materials, manufacturing capabilities and production limitations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and production teams to ensure work is prioritised and completed in line with due dates.
• Maintain a high standard of drawing quality, accuracy and consistency.
• Take ownership of assigned drafting work and manage priorities independently while contributing effectively within the wider team.
• Other position‑level duties as they arise.

• Strong knowledge and proficiency in SolidWorks, including the preparation of detailed 3D models and workshop drawings, is essential.

• Demonstrated knowledge of computer‑aided drafting and the ability to interpret technical drawings, dimensions and geometry is essential.
• Ability to accurately interpret client drawings, specifications and manufacturing requirements is essential.
• Strong understanding of drawing revision control and the ability to maintain accurate and current production drawings is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to producing accurate, production‑ready drawings are essential.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned work and meet deadlines is essential.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify drawing or manufacturing issues are essential.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and internal teams are essential.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is essential.
• Experience within sheet‑metal fabrication, manufacturing or a similar production environment is highly regarded.
• Experience working with different metal types and interpreting basic component drawings is highly regarded.
• Technical qualifications in drafting, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, are highly regarded.
• Exposure to CNC manufacturing processes is highly regarded.
