About the Role
Lakshya Digital is looking for Senior Artists to create outstanding 3D Characters and Creatures for some of the best‑known game titles. Model, UV map, texture and polish assets across a range of genres and platforms, meeting clients’ specifications and quality requirements within budgeted time and effort. Efficiently plan work, collect all necessary information before commencing, and follow organizational best practices. Support the Lead by contributing to estimates, work planning and first‑level reviews, and step into a lead or sub‑lead role as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Good knowledge of industry‑standard software such as Maya, 3D Studio Max, ZBrush and Photoshop. Experience with Substance Painter, Mudbox, Marvelous Designer, and exporting assets to engines like Unreal Engine is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of the 3D game character creation process, including modeling and texturing under production conditions. Familiar with organic and inorganic modeling.
- Ability to estimate, plan and supervise game art asset creation work.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a 3D game or game‑art services company as an Artist or Senior Artist.

Responsibilities
- Scope projects closely with the Lead, clarifying client requirements and specifications; submit queries when needed.
- Ensure no ambiguity or assumptions in any project aspect; flag confusion to Lead or sub‑Lead.
- Prior to work, confirm approach, daily targets, and discuss with Lead or sub‑Lead before finalization.
- Collect adequate references before starting work.
- Model and texture assets efficiently, following processes and specs.
- Handle the most complex assets in the project.
- Serve as a polishing artist for junior work when required.
- Perform post‑production tasks, such as game‑engine preparation and engine checks.
- Analyze information to produce efficient work breakdowns and competitive effort estimates.
- Improve productivity by managing personal output and assisting artists in completing work on time.
- Deliver high‑quality work that requires minimal iteration and zero QC errors.
- Guide and supervise artists, performing first‑level reviews when necessary.
