Job summary

Nomod, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Accounting Specialist to manage warehouse accounting and financial operations for our UAE entities, handling invoicing, revenue recognition, cost reconciliation, and VAT compliance.

You will own month-end close, collections, and client reporting, ensuring accurate billing across multiple pricing structures. 3+ years’ warehouse/inventory accounting experience, UAE VAT familiarity, and strong Excel/WMS/ERP skills are required; ACCA/CMA progress is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or logistics accounting.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and cost tracking.
• Experience reconciling costs against sales and identifying billing discrepancies.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT.
• Proficient with ERP and WMS systems.
• Excellent month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation, and credit control skills.
• Based in the UAE and able to work on-site at the warehouse.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance; progress towards ACCA/CMA is a plus.
• Experience handling high-volume billing across multiple clients with different pricing structures.
• Advanced Excel and large dataset handling.

Responsibilities

• Capture and bill every warehouse and shipping activity at client contract rates.
• Reconcile actual costs against what clients are charged and investigate discrepancies.
• Identify missed charges and margin leakage across clients and services.
• Reconcile WMS data with invoices monthly to ensure all activity is billed.
• Ensure carrier and delivery costs, including duties and handling, are charged to clients.
• Run monthly invoicing and recognise revenue in the right period.
• Own collections from reminders to blocks, late fees and letters of claim.
• Ensure UAE VAT compliance and support external revenue audit.
• Prepare reports on revenue, margins and receivables by client.

You’ll manage the warehouse accounting and financial operations for our entities!

About the job

We’re hiring a Warehouse Accountant to join one of our other growing businesses in the UAE. The role involves managing warehouse accounting and financial operations. Our operations involve over 20,000 billing lines across shipping and 3PL services, with each client having its own pricing structure. We’re looking for someone who can manage this level of complexity, reconcile costs against sales, and ensure every charge is billed accurately. You will also be responsible for overseeing the books, month-end close and statutory audit cycle across a portfolio of entities, end to end. This is an on‑site role based at our warehouse.

As a Warehouse Accounting Specialist you will:

Capture and bill every warehouse and shipping activity, including receiving, adhoc services, storage, pick and pack, shipping and returns, at each client’s contract rates.

Reconcile actual carrier and operational costs against what each client is charged, and investigate any discrepancies.

Identify missed charges and margin discrepancies across clients and services.

Reconcile order and unit data from our WMS against invoices every month, so no activity goes unbilled.

Make sure all carrier and delivery costs, including duties and handling, are recharged to clients accurately.

Run the monthly invoicing cycle and recognise revenue in the right period, including accruals for unbilled services.

Own collections, from payment reminders through to account blocks, late fees and letters of claim.

Ensure UAE VAT compliance on all sales invoices and support the external audit of the revenue cycle.

Prepare clear reports on revenue, margins and receivables by client for management.

Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a warehouse, inventory or logistics accountant, withhands‑experience in logistics, freight or warehousing finance (essential).

Have strong knowledge of inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and cost tracking.

Have experience reconciling costs against sales and identifying billing errors, discrepancies or margin leakage.

Have a working knowledge of UAE VAT.

Be confident using accounting/ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Have strong month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliation and credit control skills.

Be based in the UAE and able to work on‑site at the warehouse.

Be detail‑oriented, comfortable working on the warehouse floor and able to collaborate effectivelywithoperations teams.

Hold a degree in Accounting or Finance; progress towards ACCA/CMA is an advantage.

Have experience managing high‑volume billing, ideally thousands of billing lines across multiple clients withdifferent pricing structures.

Have advanced Excel skills and be comfortable working with large datasets.

Nice to have

Experience with consolidation tooling.

Payments or financial services sector experience.

High‑growth startup or fintech experience, and experience working with multicultural teams.
