Job Purpose

To own execution of Team Liquid's video output end to end. This role turns briefs into finished edits across the full range of what the team publishes: game day highlights and recaps, memes and trend pieces, player and talent features, vlogs and documentary style pieces, roster reveal and hype films, interviews, stream clips, and sponsored deliverables. The editor is accountable for hitting the content calendar's daily and weekly cadence without quality dropping when match days stack up, for landing sponsored work accurate on the first pass with all brand mandatories in place, and for treating the bigger tentpole films with the craft they need rather than pushing them through at social speed.

What You'll be Doing
  1. Daily content calendar delivery
Pick up assigned video briefs from the ClickUp Content Calendar, complete the edit, and move the task to the correct status with the finished asset linked in the Deliverable Link field before the due date. Target: 95% of assigned briefs delivered on or before due date each month, with no task left sitting in "in production (video)" past its deadline without a flagged reason.

  2. Game day turnaround
Edit and deliver match day video (highlights, recaps, post-game memes, win dance, mic check clips) within the agreed window after each match ends. Target: game day deliverables live within 12 hours of the final game; zero missed game days per season.

  3. Weekly video mix
Deliver the full weekly video slate set by the content calendar, covering match highlights, video memes, skits, trend and challenge content, stream clips, mic check clips, vlog clips and invite videos. Target: hit the planned weekly video count for the region every week, on season and off season.

  4. Skits, challenges and scripted pieces
Take scripted and semi-scripted concepts from brief through to finished piece. This includes reading the script or reference for comedic and dramatic timing, planning the shot list before the shoot day, running or assisting on set, then cutting for performance and pace rather than just assembling coverage. Covers player skits, challenge and game formats, trend adaptations, and scripted narrative pieces. Target: every scripted piece delivered with a first cut for review before the agreed publish date, and no shoot day lost to missing coverage that should have been caught in pre-production.

  5. Long‑form and tentpole pieces
Edit larger features end to end, including vlogs, player and talent profiles, roster reveal and hype films, and event recaps. This covers story structure, pacing, music selection, sound design, colour and graphics integration, not just assembly. Target: agreed milestone dates hit on every tentpole project, with the first cut delivered for review at least 5 working days before publish.

  6. Sponsored deliverables
Produce sponsored video to the partner brief, checking every required element before submission: correct logo usage and placement, accurate copy, required disclosures, agreed duration and aspect ratio, and no competitor brand visible anywhere on screen including background items, drinks, phones, apparel and packaging. Target: zero revision cycles caused by preventable errors (wrong copy, missing mandatories, feedback not carried forward).

  7. Feedback and revisions
Action feedback from the content and partner teams within the agreed turnaround, and carry that feedback forward so the same note does not need to be given twice. Target: revisions returned within 24 hours; repeat-note rate trending down quarter on quarter.

  8. Footage management and asset library
Ingest, back up, label and archive all raw footage and project files to the agreed folder structure and naming convention, so any editor on the team can pick up a project. Target: 100% of shoots backed up and logged within 48 hours; no project blocked by missing or unlabelled source files.

  9. Format and platform craft
Cut and export each piece to the correct spec for its destination platform (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, YouTube, X), including safe zones, captions and subtitles, hook framing in the opening seconds, and correct thumbnails or covers where required. Target: no asset re-exported or re-cropped after delivery due to wrong spec.

  10. Collaboration and planning
Attend content planning sessions, flag capacity risks before they become missed deadlines, and give realistic effort estimates so the Effort Tier on each brief reflects the real work involved. Target: capacity conflicts raised at least 3 working days ahead, not on the due date.

  11. Trend and reference input
Watch what is working in MLBB, esports and broader short-form content, and bring editing techniques, formats and references into the team's planning, including ideas for skits and challenge formats the roster could carry. Target: contribute references or format ideas to the content calendar every month.

What You'll Need
  • Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience, in esports, gaming, sports, entertainment, agency or social-first content production.

  • A portfolio or showreel demonstrating both short-form social content and at least one long-form piece (vlog, feature, hype film or documentary style edit).

  • Expert in at least one professional editing suite (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro), with working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and titles.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high volume under deadline pressure, including same-day turnaround around live events or match days.

  • Working knowledge of platform requirements and best practice across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube (Shorts and long-form) and X, including aspect ratios, safe zones, captions and hook structure.

  • Competent in sound design, music selection and basic colour correction, not editing alone.

  • Familiarity with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang or a comparable competitive title, enough to identify a good play and cut a highlight without being told where it is.

  • Comfortable working from written briefs and delivering within a task management system such as ClickUp, Asana, Monday or Trello.

  • Willing to work non-standard hours around match days, tournaments and shoot days, including weekends.
