Sufficient to meet credential requirements

Knowledge And Abilities

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, parents, and the public contacted in performance of duties
• Demonstrated working knowledge of curriculum
• Knowledge of registration procedures
• Knowledge of counseling objectives, principles and procedures
• Ability to listen to students with patience and understanding
• Ability to identify and determine the basic nature of student problems and needs and provide assistance
• Ability to provide career guidance and counseling on an individual basis
• Ability to collect and analyze test data, conduct studies, keep records and prepare reports
• Knowledge of the ancillary services within the school and how they relate to the program
• Ability to supervise and evaluate the work of subordinate personnel
• Ability to speak and write effectively
