Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full time Band 5 staff nurse within the acute ward of Islay Community Hospital.

The ward has 6 beds and cares for acute admissions with medical input provided by GPs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high quality, evidence based, person centred care.

What we are looking for

• You must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and the ability to stay well-organised while prioritising tasks efficiently.
• There will be opportunities to develop your skills and experience in other areas such as unscheduled care, advanced assessment and palliative care.
• Student Nurses due to qualify in 2025 will be considered
