Formación

The Tone: This is a full-time Staff Accountant role at Jacques Marie Mage, located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work schedule. The company produces limited-edition luxury eyewear, specializing in micro-production for a discerning clientele, utilizing precious materials and unique designs. This position is essential for ensuring accurate reconciliation of daily and monthly financial transactions, supporting closing procedures, and maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in providing accurate reporting on cash positions and liquidity to management.

What You’ll Actually Do

• Reconcile daily and monthly sales and inventory to ensure transaction accuracy and proper ledger reflection of inventory movements.
• Assist with daily and monthly cash reconciliations across various accounts, proactively researching and resolving discrepancies, chargebacks, and payment issues.
• Support the accounts payable process by researching invoices, resolving vendor inquiries, and ensuring accurate recording and support for bill posting and payments.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger while identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.

The Must-Haves

• Background: Early Career. Foundational knowledge in accounting principles and financial reconciliation, typically gained through a Bachelor’s degree in accounting (a plus).
• Experience: Experience with sales, inventory, cash, and accounts payable reconciliation processes.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong organizational and time management abilities, effective communication skills, keen attention to detail and analytical problem-solving.
• Bonus: Strong knowledge of NetSuite.
