Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd. is seeking a Senior Socio-Environment Specialist to lead the socio-environmental practice across mining, energy, and infrastructure projects in Latin America.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee studies and permits, engage clients, mentor staff, and contribute to growth while upholding high technical and regulatory standards.

Formación

• Degree in Environmental, Civil, Mining Engineering, Geology, Sociology, or related discipline.
• Peru Engineering Registration (CIP).
• 10+ years in environmental consulting or socio-environmental projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting.
• Familiarity with GIS and spatial analysis.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Socio-Environment Specialist to join our Socio-Environment team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and project management expertise across environmental and social consulting projects in the mining, energy, hydrocarbons, and infrastructure sectors.

As a senior technical leader, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage complex socio-environmental projects from initiation through completion, and ensure deliverables meet the highest technical, regulatory, and quality standards. You will also play a key role in business development, client engagement, mentoring junior professionals, and supporting KCB's continued growth across Latin America and internationally.

This Role Will Give You the Opportunity To

• Lead and manage socio-environmental projects for mining, energy, and infrastructure clients.
• Oversee the preparation and review of environmental studies, permits, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Build strong client relationships, present technical results, and support business development initiatives.
• Mentor junior professionals and contribute to the growth of KCB's socio-environmental practice.

We Are Looking for Someone Who Has

• A degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related discipline.
• Professional Perú Engineering Registration (CIP)
• More than 10 years of experience in environmental consulting and socio-environmental projects, preferably in mining, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and international environmental standards.
• Experience with environmental and spatial analysis tools, including GIS and Google Earth.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project.
• Advanced English communication skills; Portuguese is considered an asset.
