Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our on-site team in Moquegua, Peru, to implement, operate and secure enterprise networks for mining/industrial environments.

The role requires 5+ years in enterprise networking, strong routing/switching knowledge, and certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP or Fortinet NSE4. You will work in an 8x6 shift and collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure implementation, and network operations.
• Experience in mining, industrial, or large enterprise environments preferred.
• On-site work in Quellaveco – Moquegua (8x6 schedule).

Responsibilities

• Network Implementation: Install, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Network Operations: Monitor network performance, availability, and stability across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
• Infrastructure Support: Provide operational support for enterprise networking environments ensuring high availability and service continuity.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, latency, and performance issues across multiple network layers.
• Configuration Management: Configure and maintain routing protocols, VLANs, network segmentation, and access policies.
• Security Implementation: Support the implementation and maintenance of network security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, and access control mechanisms.
• Monitoring and Performance Management: Use network monitoring tools to identify incidents, anomalies, and potential capacity issues.
• Documentation: Maintain updated documentation of network configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Change Management: Implement network changes following established change management and operational procedures.
• Site Support: Provide technical support for networking infrastructure in mining or industrial operational environments.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure implementation, and network operations, preferably in mining, industrial, or large enterprise environments.
• Work Modality: On-site (Quellaveco – Moquegua), under an 8x6 work schedule.

Technical Skills

• Enterprise Networking: Solid knowledge of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, and wireless networking technologies.
• Routing and Switching: Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, and VLAN segmentation.
• Network Security: Experience implementing and supporting firewalls, VPNs, network access control, and segmentation policies.
• Wireless Networks: Experience managing enterprise wireless infrastructure and connectivity solutions.
• Network Monitoring: Experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting tools.
• Industrial Networking: Basic knowledge of industrial or operational technology (OT) networks used in mining environments.
• Automation: Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools for network configuration and management.
• Network Certifications: Preferably Cisco CCNA, CCNP certification or equivalent.
• Security certification : Fortinet NSE4
