A Senior Engineer position is available at Aqualis Group (ABL) in Jakarta to lead Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) and Naval Architecture projects. The role involves on-site attendance, document reviews, and delivering engineering analyses to de-risk and drive project success.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, review procedures, and engage with clients and underwriters while ensuring compliance with codes and regulatory requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Naval Architecture or related field.
• 7+ years in marine/offshore engineering.
• Experience with Marine Warranty Survey (MWS).

As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the planning and delivery of Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) and Naval Architecture projects. You will also conduct and oversee Marine Warranty Survey activities such as document reviews and undertake onshore and offshore attendances.

What will you be doing?

• Conduct and oversee Marine Warranty Survey activities such as document reviews.
• Attend onshore and offshore operations to review and approve procedures and activities on behalf of underwriters.
• Prepare, review, and supervise engineering designs, calculations, analyses, and technical documentation in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Lead or support assigned projects, delivering solutions that meet client requirements.
• Perform conceptual studies, feasibility assessments, and detailed engineering analyses across a range of marine and offshore projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor to support project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor project performance, forecasting, resource requirements, schedules, and corrective actions to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Prepare technical proposals, tenders, and bid documentation for business development activities.
• Participate in internal, client, contractor, and third-party meetings, providing technical expertise and project updates as required.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to internal and external audits, technical reviews, and lessons-learned activities to support continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members, supporting their professional development.

What are we looking for?

• Degree qualified in Naval Architecture or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant industry experience.
• A minimum of seven years' professional experience within the marine, offshore, or related engineering sectors.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply them effectively in project delivery.
• Proven experience in Marine Warranty Survey (MWS), vessel inspections, and marine operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects from planning through to successful completion.
• Experience developing client relationships, preparing technical proposals, and supporting business development activities.
