Job summary

Coforge is hiring a Senior AI Platform Engineer / Knowledge Graph Engineer (LATAM, Remote) to evolve a core platform for entity management, governance, and complex relationship modeling. You will design NER pipelines with LLMs and open-source NLP models, extend extraction to streaming sources, and improve search through entity resolution and metadata filtering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including designing and operating data-intensive platforms in production.
• Strong expertise with Elasticsearch and/or OpenSearch, information retrieval, and entity resolution techniques.
• Hands-on experience with graph databases and knowledge graphs such as Neo4j and Cypher.
• Proven NLP/NER work with Gemma, Llama, GLiNER, spaCy, and LLM-based extraction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Evolve and enhance a core platform focused on entity management, governance, cross-references (XREFs), relationships, and business context discovery.
• Design, develop, and improve Named Entity Recognition (NER) pipelines using LLMs, open-source NLP models, gazetteers, and pattern matching.
• Extend entity extraction capabilities to streaming and real-time content sources.

• Design and maintain graph-based relationship models supporting traversal, visualization, and advanced mapping.
• Implement entity-level security and access control across retrieval, search, and exploration workflows.
• Integrate new data sources and ensure connectivity with downstream applications and business platforms.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and AI-powered workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools while validating generated code and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across domains to define priorities and guide platform evolution.
• Contribute to onboarding, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Evolve and enhance a core platform focused on entity management, governance, cross-references (XREFs), relationships, and business context discovery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including the design and operation of data-intensive platforms in production environments.


• Strong expertise with Elasticsearch and/or OpenSearch, information retrieval systems, and entity resolution techniques.


• Hands-on experience with graph databases and knowledge graphs, including Neo4j and Cypher.


• Solid experience in Applied NLP and NER solutions using technologies such as Gemma, Llama, GLiNER, spaCy, and LLM-based extraction techniques.


• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Datadog.


• Proven experience ingesting, synchronizing, and managing data from multiple source systems.


• Strong systems-thinking mindset with advanced architecture and data modeling capabilities.


• Demonstrated ability to model complex business domains and relationships.


• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, and agentic workflows.


• Ability to evaluate, challenge, validate, and improve AI-generated outputs using sound engineering judgment.


• Experience implementing permission-aware data access, security controls, and restricted-data filtering mechanisms.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Advanced English proficiency.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Mining, or other asset-intensive industries.


• Exposure to large-scale enterprise data governance and master data management initiatives.


• Experience building enterprise search, discovery, or knowledge management platforms.


• Familiarity with graph visualization and relationship analytics solutions.


• Experience designing AI-powered search and retrieval systems.
