Coforge is seeking a Senior AI Data Engineer to evolve entity management platforms, design graph-based relationships, and implement secure, scalable AI-driven data pipelines. You will build NER pipelines, extend content support, and collaborate across domains to shape the product roadmap.

The role requires hands-on NLP/NER expertise, experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and graph DBs, and strong data modeling skills. Remote global role with international collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Evolve and enhance the core platform for entity management and governance, including entity types, attributes, cross-references (XREFs), and relationships.
• Build and improve Named Entity Recognition (NER) pipelines for text and files by combining LLM-based models, gazetteers, pattern matching, and blacklists.
• Extend NER capabilities to new content types, including live-stream content.
• Improve search and entity discovery through entity resolution, personalized search, filtering, and relationship navigation.
• Design and query graph-based relationship models to support traversal, visualization, and connected business context.
• Implement entity-level security and access controls across data retrieval and exploration.
• Onboard new data sources and support integrations with consuming applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and AI workflows, critically validating AI-generated code and designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business domains to shape and prioritize the platform roadmap.
• Support team onboarding and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including building or managing data-intensive platforms in production.
• Experience with search platforms such as Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, information retrieval, and entity resolution.
• Knowledge of graph databases and knowledge graphs, such as Neo4j and Cypher.
• Applied NLP and NER experience, including LLM-based extraction and open-source models such as Gemma, Llama, GLiNER, or spaCy.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Datadog.
• Experience with data ingestion and synchronization from multiple source systems.
• Strong systems thinking, architecture, and data modeling skills, with experience modeling complex business domains.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, and agentic workflows.
• Ability to critically evaluate, validate, and correct AI-generated outputs using sound engineering judgment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of permission-aware data access and security filtering.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or another language.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Oil & Gas or other asset-heavy industries.
