Jobtailor in Peru is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to monitor alerts, analyze threats, and respond to incidents. You will work with SIEM/EDR tools to detect and contain security events, and you will document actions taken and outcomes for post-incident reviews.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and customers, adherence to runbooks, and ongoing improvements to playbooks and controls.

Formación

• Hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, or a SOC environment.
• Ability to follow documented procedures, escalation paths, and evidence handling requirements.
• Experience analyzing security events, logs, and alerts to detect threats.
• Familiarity with networking, operating systems, and identity concepts.
• Experience documenting incidents and outcomes in a structured manner.
• Practical knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (SIEM/EDR).

Requirements

• Hands on experience in security operations, incident response, or a security operations center environment
• Practical knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools such as SIEM, EDR, or network security platforms
• Experience analyzing security events, logs, and alerts to identify threats and false positives
• Understanding of common attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and threat categories
• Ability to follow documented procedures, escalation paths, and evidence handling requirements
• Experience documenting incidents, actions taken, and outcomes in a structured manner
• Familiarity with basic networking, operating systems, and identity concepts
