Cambridge College Lima, part of Inspired Education, seeks a dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to deliver Biology, Chemistry and Physics to students in a dynamic, internationally minded environment. You will foster scientific enquiry, critical thinking and practical laboratory skills across the curriculum.

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Education is required or equivalent.
• A recognised teaching qualification or certification is essential.
• Experience teaching Science at Secondary level, ideally in international or bilingual settings.
• Experience with Cambridge Lower Secondary Science, IGCSE, and IBDP Sciences is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) including practical/lab work.
• Develop students' scientific enquiry, experimental design and data analysis.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and cross-curricular learning.

• Use diverse teaching strategies to meet different learning needs and abilities.

Cambridge College Lima is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and student-centred Secondary Science Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to Secondary students, fostering scientific enquiry and practical laboratory skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons, including practical/laboratory work, aligned with the school's curriculum and academic expectations.
• Support students in developing strong scientific enquiry, experimental design, and data analysis skills across scientific disciplines.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning, interdisciplinary learning, and the continuous development of the Science programme.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, discussion, and independent learning.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the different learning needs and abilities of students.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback to support continued development.
• Use assessment data effectively to inform teaching and implement appropriate interventions when required.
• Maintain high expectations for student achievement, behaviour, participation, and engagement.
• Build positive and professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Contribute actively to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, school events, trips, and other initiatives.
• Maintain accurate academic records and complete reports and other documentation in line with school requirements.
• Promote the school’s values and contribute to a positive, collaborative, and internationally minded school culture.
• Ensure the safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral care of students in accordance with school policies and procedures.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A Bachelor's degree in a Science subject, Education, or another relevant field.
• Previous experience teaching Science at Secondary level, ideally within an international or bilingual school environment.
• Experience delivering Cambridge Lower Secondary Science, CIE IGCSE Combined/Co-ordinated Science, and IBDP Sciences (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or ESS) is highly desirable.
• A recognised teaching qualification or certification.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• A student-centred approach with a genuine commitment to supporting both academic achievement and personal development.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and collaboration skills.
• The ability to use technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
• A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach to working within an international school community.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people.
• A high level of English proficiency.
